Tech Prep is a planned sequence of study in a technical field beginning as early as the ninth year of high school. The sequence extends through two years of postsecondary education and culminates in an associate degree or certificate.
The mission of South Dakota Tech Prep is to prepare secondary and postsecondary students to live and work in the highly technical world of the 21st century through a rigorous education program that meets the performance standards of business and industry. It also provides the basis for the transition to additional education and/or the world of work.
